After attending Binghamton University in New York and working there as a photographer, Michael packed his life into a Prius and headed west to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, where he lived and worked as a freelance photographer for six years. Having had enough of the Phoenix heat, Michael relocated to Austin, Texas — a rockin’ city with a robust photography industry and, somehow, still plenty of heat. There, he gained invaluable experience working on a variety of large-scale productions with clients such as Puma, Lululemon, Target, the NBA, Toyota, and Delta.

Finally escaping the southern heat, Michael relocated to Portland in 2024, where he continues his photography career doing what he loves most: photographing people.

Michael’s approach is grounded, collaborative, and flexible. Whether working one-on-one, as part of a larger production, or independently on smaller projects, he prioritizes comfort, clarity, and authenticity. The goal is always the same: create work that feels honest, intentional, and human.
